This Privacy Policy applies to the StayPass mobile application (hereby referred to as the “Application”), created by StayPass (hereby referred to as the “Service Provider”). This service is provided on an “AS IS” basis.

Information collection and use

The Application may collect certain information automatically and/or with user permission when you download and use it. This information is used solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Application’s features and services.

A. Information collected automatically

The following data is collected automatically and used for security, debugging, fraud prevention, and general usage analysis.

IP address
Used to prevent fraud, ensure service security, and determine general geographic regions.
Usage details
Pages visited, date and time of access, and duration of use.
Device information
Operating system and anonymized device identifiers.

B. User-permissioned data

The following data is accessed only with explicit user permission and only to enable specific Application features. This data is not collected in the background.

Camera and photos
Used for profile images or app-related uploads.
Location
Used only when the user taps the “Reached Home” button to confirm safe arrival.
Important

Camera, photos, and location data are never sold or shared for advertising or profiling purposes, and are not accessed when the app is closed.

C. Role-based user information

The Application collects personal information during account creation and usage. The type of information collected depends on the user’s role. This data is used strictly for authentication, authorization, hostel management, and security purposes.

Security guard

Scope

All role-based information is collected strictly for operational, administrative, and security purposes, and is not shared with third parties except where required by law.

Third-party access and disclosure

What we allow

Limited service access

Third-party analytics and crash reporting services access limited, automatically collected data solely to perform their services. They are bound by confidentiality obligations.

What we never do

No sale of your data

We do not sell, trade, or transfer personal information for marketing or advertising purposes.

Opt-out rights

You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the Application using your device’s standard uninstall process.

No additional steps are required. Once removed, all local data is cleared from your device.

Data retention policy

Active use

Data is retained while the Application is actively used.

90 days after last session

Data is retained for up to 90 days after the last active session, unless a longer period is required by law.

Deletion

Data is securely deleted after the retention period.

Request deletion

To request deletion of your data, email staypass13@gmail.com.

Children’s privacy

The Application is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we discover that data has been collected from a child under 13, it will be deleted immediately.

Passwords and sensitive data are stored in encrypted form.
Access controls
Role-based access ensures only authorized users see data.
Secure transmission
Data is transmitted over secure, encrypted connections.
Regular audits
Continuous improvement of security controls and safeguards.
Note

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect user data, though no system is 100% secure.

Changes to this policy

Updates will be reflected by changing the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

Continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.
